But what about mainstream market, where most of the PC gaming community lies.
The majority of the PC gamer play their games at 1080p resolution.
Today I will show you how can you build a gaming PC for $450, which will let you play Battlefield 1 and other AAA titles of 2017.
So let’s get started.
I know you must be thinking,
“Why are you suggesting a Pentium which was launched back in 2000, and why not an FX processor?”
A: Fist off all it is based on Intel’s 6th generation Skylake architecture with 14nm lithography and was launched back in November 2015.And for FX processor they are quite old, slower compare to G4400 and you will not have upgrade option in future.
So what do you get with this processor?
It is dual core CPU and has 2 threads which act as two logical cores in the processor. It has Intel HD 510 graphics integrated on to the processor which can used for multimedia application.
As this processor is based on 14nm fabrication is very energy efficient and performs quite well than its predecessor. With 14 nm and architectural Instruction per Clock (IPC) improvement it can achieve higher clock speed than its predecessor without compensating the power and generating less heat.
And by choosing skylake processor we will have option to upgrade to kaby lake next year.
This motherboard is has Intel H110M chipset which comes loaded with features. It comes with all the feature that every gamer need like gigabit Ethernet (1000 Mbit), SATA 3 ports (6.0 GBPS) and many more which are in the table below.
|CPU||Intel® Socket 1151 for 6th Generation Core™ i7/Core™ i5/Core™ i3/Pentium®/Celeron® Processors|
|Memory||2 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR4 2133 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory|
|Back I/O Ports||1 x PS/2 keyboard (purple) 1 x PS/2 mouse (green) 1 x DVI-D 1 x D-Sub 1 x HDMI 1 x LAN (RJ45) port(s) 2 x USB 3.0 (blue) 4 x USB 2.0 3 x Audio jack(s)|
|Front I/O||1 x USB 3.0 connector(s) support(s) additional 2 USB 3.0 port(s) (19-pin) 1 x USB 2.0 connector(s) support(s) additional 2 USB 2.0 port(s) 1 x Front panel audio connector(s) (AAFP)|
The best feature of this motherboard it comes with 2 USB 3.0 I/O header for the front. So case with 2 USB 3.0 ports can take the most out of it.
The AMD’s Polaris architecture has redefined budget gaming. This architecture is able to give performance of a high end graphics card at an affordable price. This card is very efficient thanks to 14nm FinFET fabrication by Digitalfoundry. This card is based on GCN architecture which is well renowned for its DX12 and Vulkan and performance.
check out : Best feature of DX12 and Vulkan.
Asus Strix model comes overclocked out of the box with illuminated ROG logo. It also comes with ASUS Direct CU 2 cooling which provides better cooling and silent operation on high load.
This card is based on nvidia’s Pascal architecture which offer great performance for the price. This card is based on the original GTX 1060, but this card has fewer processing units (1152 CUDA cores) and 3 GB of GDDR5 memory. Still this card performs quite well and even beats the RX 470 in many games.
This card is quite efficient as it only consume 120W of power thanks to Pascal and 16nm FinFET by TSMC. If you want a alternative to the RX 470 this is the one.
Power supply is one the main component of any build. As it powers the whole system. A good power supply must be efficient and reliable, so for our build I have choose the EVGA 500 W1 which is 80 plus bronze certified.
This power supply is quite efficient and will be perfect for our requirement. As most of us tends to game for long hours this is best for the price.
With skylake Intel introduced us with DDR4 RAM module. DDR4 RAM is designed to consume less power, achieve high clock speed and bandwidth. The HyperX brand is derived from Kingston which is known for their memory and storage devices.
This kit consist of a single ram Stick which has capacity of 8GB which is sufficient to run any modern games. It is clocked at 2400MHz which provides much higher bandwidth and clock speed than DDR3.
To store our games we will need hard disk. For our system I will suggest Western Digital blue drive. This drive is very popular among system builders as it performs quite well for cheaper price.
This is a mechanical hard drive which rotates at 7200 RPM and has 1 TB of capacity which will be enough for multimedia our consumption and supports SATA 3 which can transfer data at 6.0 Gbps. This drivw is considered one of the most reliable among system builders.
Rosewill is among the most underrated brand in this industry. They manufacture various peripherals. But they are known for their cases. For our build, The Rosewill LINE M will be a perfect choice. As this cases completely satisfy our requirement and us some room for future upgrade.
The best part of this case is it come with 2 USB 3.0 port at the front which is fully compatible with our motherboard. And over the top this case comes with blue LED fan at the front. Which adds a great look to it.
The whole is summarized in the table below :
|Intel Pentium G4400||Check price||$59.14|
|Gigabyte GA-H110M-A LGA 1151||Check price||$44.99|
|HyperX FURY 8GB||Check price||$34.56|
